Can i steam a 42 ft grand banks trawler across the atlantic from east coast usa to europe via azores.? - trawler cruising
Boat has 2 engines Ford Lehman 120 hp, diesel tank of 640 gallons. 8knots cruising speed of 10 knots maximum speed. Both work engine burns about 6 liters per hour, with a motor, and of course the half. Advice or who have never been so important, instead of sailing at full steam

The fuel tank is too small - you calculate your daily
Route, which add to the total distance across the Atlantic and
at least 25% of the required fuel.
You also need the equipment, the knowledge of astronomy
Navigation - you can not rely on GPS as their only
navigation.
I think it would take a bit more fuel.
